Matt and Pat Pemberton Waste Amnesties

Wigan Council’s Waste Amnesties are continuing across the borough.

Skips are provided on certain days for local people to get rid of unwanted goods.

The latest, in Douglas Ward, was a great success and Cllrs said:

“Great to be at Trencherfield Mill this morning for the final day of the Our Town programme in Douglas Ward!
“Another skip well used by residents, and the entrance to Trencherfield Mill Apartments looking much tidier thanks to Dan and Ben from Streetscene.
If you couldn’t make this week’s waste amnesties, you can still book 2 FREE Bulky Waste Collections of up to five items in a 12 month period, through the Council.
“To do so, please visit https://www.wigan.gov.uk/BulkyCollections. Or, you can visit the waste amnesties taking place in other wards; see Wigan Council’s Facebook page for further details.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to local Neighbourhood Manager Jo for organising this week’s activities, along with Johnny, Dan and Ben from Streetscene, David from Highways, Lisa and all the staff at The Meadows Family Hub, and our neighbourhood policing team. Here’s to the next Our Town week!”
