Labour teams across the Borough have been hitting the streets with leaflets as local elections approach.

Although your Labour councillors work hard throughout the year, Labour teams have an extra push in the April and early May period to ensure the electorate knows who their local candidates are and the work they have done previously.

Candidates in Aspull, New Springs and Whelley talked to the MEN about their campaign and described going door to door to deliver leaflets to houses.

Labour teams also canvass by knocking on doors and talking to residents about local issues, they encourage residents to call or email them throughout the year and they hold surgeries where you can chat in person.
